DESCRIPTION:A one day IEEE workshop was organized by IEEE CIS UP Section Ch
apter (CIS11). The purpose of this workshop was to provide a forum of shar
ing and discussion for students\, budding researchers and faculty members
in the area of Computational Intelligence. There are a number of complex a
nd challenging real-world problems\, where traditional approaches are not
that effective. Computational Intelligence with its set of biological and
linguistic tools gives much more freedom in efficiently addressing such pr
oblems. This workshop was conducted to bring the diverse community of rese
archers together to discuss the state of art\, prospective future developm
ents and innovative applications relevant to Neural Networks\, Evolutionar
y Algorithms\, Fuzzy Systems\, Hybrid Intelligent Systems and related area
