  at noon by David Bomzer\, Cantor Colburn LLP\n\nProfessional Activities C
 ommittees for Engineers (PACE) organizes events on soft skills for enginee
 rs\, outside of strictly technical presentations\, such as IP\, emotional 
 intelligence\, communication etc.\n\nPresentation on basics of intellectua
 l property law\, including what every corporate employee needs to know abo
 ut patents\, copyrights\, trademarks and trade secrets. Attendees will lea
 ve with an understanding of key do’s and dont’s to make sure their int
 ellectual property doesn’t walk out the door and to make sure they are n
 ot inadvertently putting themselves and their companies in harm’s way.\n
 \nRobotics Society: The Connecticut chapter of the IEEE Robotics and Autom
 ation Society has been selected as the recipient of the 2018 Chapter of th
 e Year Award from the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society which consists 
 of over 13\,000 members worldwide. We sponsor robotics competitions\, work
 shops\, seminars throughout the state.\n\nComputer Society: We are the lar
 gest IEEE technical society in Connecticut and are seeking volunteer leads
  for event planning and coordination.\n\nWomen In Engineering: IEEE WIE is
  the largest international professional organization dedicate to the statu
 s and advancement of women in Science\, Technology\, Engineering and Math.
  Previous events in Connecticut included self-defense\, networking\, and p
 resentations by prominent women engineering professionals.\n\nPower and En
 ergy Society: The Connecticut PES chapter provides a great\, low cost oppo
 rtunity to gain exposure to various electric power-related facilities and 
 experts right here in Connecticut. It is also a venue for networking and s
 ocializing with other power engineering professionals.\n\nStudent Activiti
 es: Our goal is to support student IEEE activities at all universities in 
 Connecticut and help prepare engineering students for their careers.\n\nYo
 ung Professionals:\n\nWhat do we stand for: The community aims to bring yo
 ung professionals from universities and the industry to come together to n
 etwork within themselves or with the experienced IEEE members or to mentor
  the future engineers who are still going through middle school or high sc
 hool.\n\nWhat events we have hosted so far: We&#39;ve had social networking ev
 ents just to get to know other young professionals within the area. We had
  some mentoring events for high school students\, to break down their phys
 ics and math lessons in a friendly and interactive library discussion envi
 ronment. We also had panel discussions at universities to openly discuss w
 hat skills and practices are most useful for college students who are look
 ing to get hired soon or to those who would like to pursue graduate school
