DESCRIPTION:Turncoat debate was one of the newest addition to the list of c
ultural events of Encomium. The idea of literally debating with oneself in
trigued many minds. The event had 2 rounds\; in the first round the partic
ipants had to challenge oneself to debate. The second round was where the
things got heated up. The shortlisted candidates were made to sit in a cyc
lic order. Firstly\, the participants had to denounce the points introduce
d by the preceding member and only then they were allowed to express their
own views and opinions. The event received positive remarks from the part
icipants and the audience. Prof. Satya Prakash were the judge for the deba
te. He said\, "Turncoat debate is an interesting format of debate. It shou
ld be widely publicised\, so that\, more students can participate." He als
