DESCRIPTION:Digital Filters on ARM Cortex Processors\n\nThe ARM Cortex seri
es of processors (from M0 to M4 and beyond) are a popular choice for many
sensor and control functions in the Internet of Things\, robotics\, and ot
her applications. In many cases\, we need to do some signal processing in
these implementations\, and we may end up coding some digital filtering us
ing the basic Cortex DSP library. But how well do these filters work for m
any applications? Come join us for a talk on some lessons learned from imp
lementing digital filters and time-frequency domain calculations in an ass
ortment of representative applications. We will pull out our discrete samp
le formulae and build and test some filters for these applications and loo
k at the effectiveness of the code in both filter function and code overhe
ad with the main application. The attendee should get a better appreciatio
n of the abilities of the Cortex processor for DSP functionality as well a
 s some of the tradeoffs involved.\n\nSpeaker(s): Charles Lord\, \n\nAgenda
