The occasion has tu rned out to be a perfect stage to share an appreciable amount of wisdom th oughts of the dignitaries with the student community of GITAM(Deemed to be University).\n\nInaugurating the society\, Dr. G.Ramadevi\, DGM\, Steel p lant\, chief guest of the occasion explained the role and responsibility o f every woman in shaping the country’s development and the importance of education in that process.\n\nAdding his part to enlighten the students\, DR. Abraham Varghese\, Chairman\, and IEEE Vizag Bay Sub-Section quoted m any reasons for women getting dropped out from education and its results o n economy.\n\nAddressing the gathering\, Dr. N.Deepika Rani\, coordinator\ , WIE\, Vizag Bay sub-section shared her thoughts on steps to be taken to promote girl education. She wanted every woman individual to shine at equa l standards as men in the field of science and technology.\n\nDr.S.Lakshmi Narayana\, past chair\, IEEE Vizag Bay sub-section\, sharing his thoughts with the student community\, mentioned the various aspects of WIE\, its s tructure\, the ways it can help women students and wished participation in to WIE should increase with time.\n\nProf. K.Lakshmi Prasad\, Principal\, GIT\, while addressing the gathering\, explained the role of professional societies in the life of an Engineering student\, the way they help a stud ent to think out of the box and wished many more societies should take the ir inception in the University.\n\nProf.P.V.Y.Jayasree\, coordinator\, WIE \, GIT\, shared the success story of establishment of WIE at GIT\, the amo unt of efforts that went into the process and the reasons for that strenuo us efforts.
