 Governor's STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) Council o
 utreach project at the Iowa State Fair on "Stem Day" August 19\, 2018.\n\n
 What is it?\n\nThe Iowa Governor's STEM Council is sponsoring an area on t
 he Grand Concourse of the Iowa State Fair where various groups will each h
 ave a table with hands-on demonstrations and activities for elementary age
  children to explore STEM related topics. We will use "Squishy Circuits" a
 t our table to explore basic electricity and electronics concepts. We've u
 sed the "Squishy Circuit" activities the past several years at many local 
 elementary schools as well as at the State Fair the last 3 years and it wa
 s highly successful and a lot of fun. "Squishy Circuits" uses home-made pl
 ay dough that conducts electricity to light LEDs. See http://squishycircui

 he Squishy Circuit conductive play dough\, circuit boards with batteries a
 nd LEDs and sample circuit ideas. We will also have recipe cards available
