DESCRIPTION:Redistricting\, and shifting political winds\, virtually guaran
tees that the 2018 election will result in significant changes to Pennsylv
ania's representation in Washington. Since we are not going to try to gues
s the results of the election (something the pollsters seem to have done p
oorly lately)\, we can still be sure the election will dramatically affect
US Technology Policy\, with both regulation and legislation\, especially
government funding.\n\nIEEE-USA is widely respected for Technology Policy
that is objective and in the best interests of the country and our members
. Russ Harrison is the IEEE-USA's Director of Government Relations. Based
in Washington\, he and his staff have close contact with Legislators\, the
ir staff\, and the IEEE-USA Technology Policy Committees. He will provide
insights not only into who will be shaping policy but how you\, as a voter
and constituent\, can effectively work with your Legislators regarding th
ese matters.\n\nRegistration is required if you need parking arrangements.
1 PDH is available for IEEE members\, but you must register and sign in a
t the meeting. Please indicate these when you register.\n\nCo-sponsored by
