 ions of Power Electronics for Grid Dynamic Studies\, to be held in Aalborg
 \, Denmark\,\non 5 December 2018. The workshop is sponsored by the IEEE Po
 wer Electronics Society (PELS).\n\nPower electronics devices have been wid
 ely used with renewable power generation\, energy-efficient power transmis
 sion\, distribution and consumption. The full controllability of power ele
 ctronics devices enables to modernize the electric power grid with more fl
 exibility\, yet it also poses new challenges to the dynamic operations of 
 power systems.\n\nThis workshop intends to bring together the power electr
 onics and power system engineers to share the recent research and industry
  practices on the modeling and dynamic studies of power electronic based p
 ower systems. There will be a number of invited presentations given by the
  leading experts from both the industry and academia\, and a panel discuss
 ion on the challenges for dynamics and control of the future 100% converte
 r-based power systems.\n\nAll presentations and discussions in the worksho
 p will be in English\, and the workshop registration is free of charge.\n\
