 ng Simulink and SDR” on 29th August 2018 at Shambhavi Auditorium. Dr. Pr
 ashantha Kumar H.\, Assistant Professor\, Department of E&CE\, N.I.T.K.\, 
 Surathkal was the resource person.Dr. Prashanth Kumar\, in his talk in the
  forenoon has given an insight into history of the communication as a glob
 al perspective. He has highlighted the prominent inventions and discoverie
 s in this area. He also has presented the basic blocks of communication sy
 stems using SIMULINK.\n\nIn the afternoon session\, he has demonstrated th
 e implementation of Amplitude Modulation and Frequency Modulation techniqu
 es with real time inputs. He has encouraged the faculty and students to ca
 rry out similar experiments for the better understanding of the concepts. 
 Around 100 pre-final year students and faculty from the Department of E&CE
