  Technology Bombay is jointly planning to host 5th International Conferenc
 e on Power and Energy Systems(ICPS) on 28th October 2013 at Nepal. They ha
 ve requested to IEEE UP Section for technical sponsorship for conference. 
 Background: The 1st ICPS technically co-sponsored by IEEE PES was jointly 
 organized by our University and IIT Bombay in November 2004\, which laid t
 he foundation for ICPS. The conference was subsequently hosted by CPRI\, B
 angalore in 2007\, IIT Kharagpur in 2009 and IIT Madras in 2011. This conf
 erence has already established itself as premier conference in the area of
  power and energy in the South Asian region. 5th ICPS conference will attr
 act international researchers\, vendors and utilities and will cover wide 
 range of latest developments in power sector. The proposed venue is Kathma
 ndu and proposed dates are 28Th Oct to 30th Oct 2013. 3. Kamla Nehru Insti
 tute of Technology\, Sultanpur is organizing National Conference on Recent
  Trends in Energy System (NCRTIES-2013) in KNIT Sultanpur during April 5-6
 \, 2013. They have requested to IEEE UP Section for financial support of R
 s. 30\,000/-. 4. IEEE Student Branch\,DIT Dehradun had organized some tech
 nical events\, free workshops and seminars in their college between March 
 14 and 15\, 2013. They have requested to IEEE UP Section for financial sup
 port of Rs. 35\,500/- to meet out the deficit. 5. Indian Institute of Tech
 nology\, Kanpur is organizing 3rd International Conference on Advances in 
 Control and Optimization of Dynamical Systems ACODS-2014 during March 13 
 – 15\, 2014.They have requested to IEEE UP Section for technical sp
 onsorship for conference. 6. Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College\, Ghaziab
