 nThe program started with welcome address by Prof. Brajesh Varshney\, Dire
 ctor\, Kanpur Institute of Technology\, Kanpur\, India. Prof. Nishchal K. 
 Verma\, Vice Chairman\, IEEE UP Section CIS Chapter &amp; Professor\, Dept. of
  Electrical Engineering\, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur\, India ga
 ve introduction about IEEE and IEEE CIS. He also encouraged and motivated 
 students for becoming the member of IEEE CIS community by highlighting the
  membership benefits. Around 150 participants including faculties\, UG and
  PG students have attended the lecture.\n\nThe expert lecture was followed
  by an interactive session with executive committee members of IEEE UP Sec
 tion CIS Chapter where students asked their doubts and explored the possib
 ilities of computational intelligence (CI) in their own work.\n\nFor membe
 rship drive\, a booth was also set up at the venue to promote IEEE CIS mem
