 y attorney for over 27 years\, I have had the opportunity to work with and
  represent some of the best technology companies in the world. I was Vice 
 President\, Patent Counsel for Qualcomm\, Inc. for 10 years\, and more rec
 ently Vice President\, Chief Patent Counsel for Entropic Communications\, 
 Inc.\, a midsize public corporation. I have been an adjunct professor of l
 aw with Thomas Jefferson School of Law since 2003. I have worked in both l
 arge and midsized firms. I have served as the president of the San Diego I
 ntellectual Property Law Association (SDIPLA) and was on the board of dire
 ctors of SDIPLA for four years. In addition\, I served on the board of the
  San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program.\n\nI authored an article that was cit
 ed by Chism on Patents\, which is the leading treatise on patent law. I wa
 s also awarded the “Gina Maria Escarce Memorial Award” for “contribu
 ting to the understanding of complex legal issues.”\n\nRobert Cogan:\n\n
 Rob Cogan is Principal Attorney at Continuum Law in downtown San Diego. Th
