The event was started with the ligh tening of lamp by invited speakers and members of the executive committee. The main highlights of the event included interactive talk by the invited speakers\, inaugural celebration\, membership drive and Logo Design Conte st for IEEE Student Branch\, AcSIR-CSIO. Further the announcement of winne r of Logo Design Contest along with hosting of membership drive for the at tending guests was highlighted. They also informed to the attendees that t he IEEE Members at AcSIR-CSIO Student Branch is increased to 34 from 12 (a t the time of branch formation).\n\nProf. R.K. Sinha\, a distinguished mem ber of Photonics Society of IEEE and Director\, CSIR-CSIO\, delivered an i nteractive talk about the need and benefits of IEEE society along with sha ring some personal experiences. Prof. Sinha also encouraged the executive committee to arrange more of such events for the benefit of student branch members. Also\, Dr. Vinod Karar\, coordinator of AcSIR-CSIO\, delivered k eynote address welcoming the new student branch into the family of AcSIR-C SIO and encouraged students to participate more and more into it. Further\ , The winner of the competition was announced during the event and felicit ated with a certificate and IEEE souvenirs\, along with other participants \, by the invited speakers.\n\nDuring the event\, the executive committee interacted with the guests\, while presenting them with the benefits of be coming an IEEE student member with the help of posters and brochures. Also \, faculty members were familiarized with the benefits of senior membershi p etc. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by branch counsellor\, Dr . Sardana. He also appreciated the efforts of event’s volunteers and pre sented them with IEEE souvenirs.
