Th e idea behind this event is to spread the awareness and benefits of IEEE s pectrum magazine and enhance the reading habits of the students. IEEE spec trum is flagship magazine and website of the IEEE\, its main purpose is to keep its members and other student and professionals up to date about lat est and major trends and developments in technology\, engineering\, and sc ience.\n\nThis event was about providing the students a platform where the y can come up with their knowledge and presentation work on any of the tec hnology related article from IEEE spectrum magazine\, IEEE computer magazi ne and IEEE power & energy magazine. We had two rounds for this competitio n. In 1st round\, the students selected their article regarding their fiel d and interest and submitted the abstract for evaluation round. Then after the evaluation of abstracts by our judges\, the qualified groups were inf ormed via email to participate in final round.\n\nFor the evaluation of ab stracts and final presentation\, rubric were designed by our respected jud ges. We got 21 abstracts and 12 of them were qualified to participate in F inal presentation round.\n\nThe criteria for the participation was:\n\n- S tudents had to select any article of their interest from the IEEE spectrum magazine\, IEEE Computer Magazine and IEEE Power and Energy Magazine of y ear 2012 to 2018.\n- Individual participation wasn’t allowed\, group to have minimum 2 and maximum 3 students.\n- No abstracts were considered aft er the first round which was abstract submission.\n- Abstract had to be su bmitted as a PDF or DOC file online through Google form.\n- Students had t o give their final presentation (using power point or any other software) regarding their selected article and research work on 15th-June-2019.\n- W inner were selected as per the best presentation among all by neutral judg ment.\n- There was one winner and two runner ups.\n- Non-IEEE members can also participate in this competition.\n- The participation fee for each gr oup was 300 PKR.\n\nList of Judges of IEEE SpectrumX’19\n\nWe had 7 judg es who evaluated the abstracts and final presentations according to the de signed rubric. 3 of the 7 judges are IEEE members.\n\n- Muhammad Qasim Pas ta\n- Noor-ul-huda\n- Syed Shehroz Shamim\n- Muhammad Usman Javed\n- Afifa Rasheed\n- Maleeha Anwar\n- Saima Munawar\n\nThe event was successfully c onducted on 15th of June\, 2019.
