 cs included:\n- Ultra-wide band antennas\n- Beamforming and MIMO applicati
 ons\n- Radio network planning\n- Periodic structures and RFID applications
 \n- Electromagnetic pollution\n- Antennas for EME communications\n- Hands-
 on workshops on SDR applications\n\nThe second day of the event included a
  visit at Nokia Timisoara.\n\nTwenty-three students from the main technica
 l universities in Romania attended the Summer School.\n\nThree prizes were
  awarded to the students\, co-sponsored by IEEE AP-S and University Polite
 hnica of Timisoara:\n\n1. The &quot;Prof. Tiberiu Muresan&quot; prize\, consisting o
 f a tablet\, was awarded to Cosmin Danisor\, Ph.D. student with University
  Politehnica of Bucharest\, IEEE Graduate Student Member.\n\n2. The &quot;Prof.
  Remus Radulet&quot; prize\, consisting of a SDR receiver\, was awarded to Andr
 eea Constantin\, Ph.D. student with University Politehnica of Bucharest\, 
 IEEE Graduate Student Member.\n\n3. The &quot;Prof. Plautius Andronescu&quot; prize\
