DESCRIPTION:IEEE Power & Energy Society Bangladesh Chapter has executed its
first industrial tour for the tenure of 2019 back in 13th July 2019 at Re
verie Power & Automation Engineering Ltd.\, which is situated almost 60 Ki
lometer away from the capital city of Dhaka. Reverie is one of the most pr
ominent and emerging manufacturer and service provider Company in the powe
r & automation industry of Bangladesh. The company’s glorifying growth h
istory for past few years made the Executive Committee (ExCom) of IEEE PES
Bangladesh Chapter to decide for letting the future power engineers of th
e country to observe and get experienced the appealing journey of the comp
any.\n\nTotal 26 students from 08 different leading universities of Bangla
desh\, including Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (AUST)\, Un
iversity of Dhaka (DU)\, Eastern University (EU)\, University of Asia Paci
fic (UAP)\, Pabna University of Science & Technology (PUST)\, BRAC Univers
ity (BRACU)\, Islamic University of Technology (IUT)\, Shahjalal Universit
y of Science and Technology (SUST) - took part in the industrial tour. The
participants were mostly final year students or fresh graduates who were
looking for opportunities in this growing sector.\n\n03 faculties from Ahs
anullah University of Science & Technology- Professor Dr. Tareq Aziz\, Ass

ctively guided the enthusiast students. They directly guided the students
to observe the different process of transformer core processing\, winding\
, painting and seasoning\, chemical treatment\, testing and standard maint
aining. Moreover\, manufacturing of different HV/LV panel\, steps of manuf
acturing power equipment- which includes raw material processing\, CNC cut
ting\, sheet bending and welding and other peripheral items were also cove
red in front of the participants\, practically.\n\nAfter Lunch in the fact
ory premises\, there was an hour-long question-answer session\, where the
participants could ask questions directly to the persons from the industry
. Their query was not limited but covers queries regarding career in power
