He insisted to increase the number of programmes and membership of professional members. Many members suggested various methods to improve.\n- Professional Member Activities:It was also decided to have face-to-face meetings with professional members across the sub-section area. Dr P. Satheesh mentioned that he spoke with several mem bers in different parts of this sub-section and a detailed work plan in th is direction will be prepared in 30 days (Action: Dr. P. Satheesh)\n- In t he First Sub-Section EC meeting held on 19-1-2019\, itwas decided that fou r to five meetings will be convened in this year with the following terms of reference:\n- Identification of an institution/venue/Date/Time for thes e meetings\n- Organize an event to explain the “Benefits of IEEE Members hip” to the Professional Members. It is also decided to invite possible professionals in that area to join IEEE. A team from Vizag Bay Sub Section will participate in such events.\n- The following volunteers will prepare an action plan and submit to Sub-Section EC soon.\n\n(Action: Mr. Md Khwa jaMuinuddinChisti for the Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam districts\, Dr P. S atheesh for Krishna and East Godavari and Dr. T.S.N Murthy for Vijayanagar am and West Godavari Districts)\n\n- SN Members for Vizag Bay Sub-Section: The Vizag Bay Sub-Section invited student volunteers for SN Members from all IEEE Student Members. Since this sub-section has 21 SBs active\, it wa s decided to nominate seven SN members. Shri. A.Krishna Nag is advised to consolidate the list of Subsection Student Network representatives. All SSR/ Joint-SSR Nominations from this sub-section area ar e examined and the committee approves Mr.K.Sai Ram Kumar of GITAM\,IEEE St udent Membership No. 94431605 as Joint-SSR for this Sub-Section for the ye ar 2019. (Action: Sri Chisti to inform Sri Venkatesh\, Chair and Prof Vija yalatha SAC\, Hyderabad).\n- Sub-Section Student Congress: Sub-Section Stu dent Congress is planned\, and dates are not finalized. The committee auth orized Shri A.Krishna Nag to finalize the dates and budgetafter discussion with Prof Vijayalatha (SAC)at the earliest. (Action Sri A. Krishna Nag)\n - WIE Event: One WIE event on 17th March 2019 at IETE Bhavan with possible sub-events like “Coding contest” on C and C++\, Posters on idea and p roject. Committee requested Dr. Abraham Varughese\, to suggest a Chief gue st for the WIE event. (Action: Dr. UshaBala to co-ordinate with Prof Sree Lakshmi WIE\, IEEE Hyderabad Section for budget and other logistics)\n- So cial Activities: Lakshminarayana Sadasivunibriefed the committee about pro posed Social Activities in this year. The committee agreed to organize thr ee events one in Vizag area\, one in Rajahmundry/Kakinada area and other a t Vijayawada area. MurthyVice-Chair COM SOC/SP to propose and organize few events/workshops in our sub-section are a.\n- ICISGT: Lakshminarayana Sadasivuni briefed the current status of IC ISGT. It was noticed that the Venue is finalized and brochures of ICISGT w ere sent to 150 technical institutions and industries. He also mentioned t hat there are 75 papers in process. The committee re-iterated the need of sponsorship and requested all the members to work in this direction.\n- Su b-Section Elevation: Lakshminarayana Sadasivuni briefed that the petition of elevation of sub section to full section has sent online. The Sub-Secti on EC approved and supported the elevation petition filed by Dr. Lakshmina rayana Sadasivuni.
