DESCRIPTION:Welcome back from the summer break! We are fortunate to offer a
n overview of the updated IEEE 1584-2018 regarding Arc Flash Incident Ener
gy Analysis Implications. In the presentation we will review the changes m
ade as part of IEEE 1584-2018\, and how it will affect how arc flash studi
es are completed. You will also learn the major differences between the 20
02 and 2018 standard and how the varies software providers are handling th
ese changes.\n\nPeter Hogan\n\nPeter Hogan is the US. Operations Manager\,
Power Systems Engineering. He has 12 years of electrical power systems ex
perience\, and currently managers Eaton’s power systems engineering grou
p employing 90+ power systems engineers throughout the US. Prior to his cu
rrent position\, he managed the field services operations in Oregon\, empl
oying 15 field services engineers in Oregon\, Washington and Idaho. He sta
rted his career in Eaton as a power systems engineer\, completing over 175
arc flash studies prior to moving to management. He has a BSEE from Gonza
