 ith an update on The IEEE Future Directions Committee (FDC).\n\nFDC addres
 ses new and emerging technologies\;\n\nFDC is a liaison and collaborative 
 partner with Societies\, Councils\, and industry to develop new products a
 nd services in emerging topics.\n\nThe primary working objective of the IE
 EE Future Directions Committee:\n\n- Incubates emerging technologies and n
 ew applications of current technologies\n- Identifies opportunities to eng
 age the engineering community and the general public\n- Works with IEEE me
 mbers and staff to focus on emerging technologies through technical\, prof
 essional\, and educational activities\n- Serves as a catalyst for new conf
 erences\, publications\, standards\, educational products\, forums\, white
  papers\, grants\, and projects to support new technologies\n\nThe present
 ation will provide and overview of the on-going initiatives within FDC\, s
 uch as Blockchain\, Digital Reality and Future Networks.\n\nIn addition th
 e presentation will also provide an overview into the IEEE European Public
  Policy Committee on ICT.\n\nThe meeting is planned as such :\n\n17:30- 17
