DESCRIPTION:It was another exciting event organized by IEEE WIE VIC group w
ith the collaboration of IBM Research Australia\, aiming to give a hands-o
n experience of using Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology to high sc
hool students.\n\nStarting with a live demonstration of playing a song usi
ng a pre-programmed NFC tag\, the introduction continued explaining what N
FC is\, how it works\, the science behind it\, practical applications\, an
d how it is widely used in the current world. After the introduction\, the
practical session was started showing how to program the tags using a mob
ile phone application and Arduino board. It was a combination of different
NFC tags such as NFC nail tags\, MiFare cards\, and stickers. We could gu
ide everyone step by step showing how to program those tags.\n\nSpeaker(s)
