DESCRIPTION:Come and celebrate with us our final session of the year!\nIEEE
ComSoc & SP Joint Chapters along with Computer & EMBS joint chapters will
host a special session on the subject of:\n\n"Data Analytics for Improved
Security in Intelligent Autonomous Vehicles"\n\nDate: December 19\, 2019\
n\nTime: 6-8 pm\n\nLocation: AT&T Labs\, 9505 Arboretum\, Austin\n\nPresen
ter:\n\nDr. Heena Rathore\n\nVisiting Professor at Texas A&M University\,
in the department of computer science.\n\nAbstract\n\nAutonomous vehicles
are the future of transportation and will play a crucial part in how socie
ty evolves. Data analytics in these vehicles play an important role for im
proving connectivity and providing road safety\, better traffic management
and driver comfort. They key enablers for this intelligent transportation
are connected vehicles\, road side units and traffic command centers. Thi
s talk will cover how data analytics help cooperative intelligent transpor
t systems to manage the enormous amount of data that these components will
generate. It will cover some of the techniques which incorporate the usag
e of data for message sharing\, efficient route guidance and enhancing sec
urity. Additionally it presents how cryptocurrency can be integrated with
the current security credential management systems to aid with the roles o
f pseudo certificate authorities and misbehavior detection authorities.\n\
nBio:\n\nDr. Heena Rathore is a Visiting Professor at Texas A&M University
\, in the department of computer science. Earlier Dr. Rathore was Data Sci
entist and Program Manager at Hiller Measurements. Prior to that\, she was
a post doctorate researcher for US-Qatar Joint Collaborative Project betw

ty. Also\, she was a visiting scholar for Wichita State University. She re
ceived her Ph.D. (with distinction) in Computer Science and Engineering De
partment while she was a Tata Consultancy Services Research Scholar at Ind
ian Institute of Technology\, India. She has also worked professionally as
Design Executive with Phosphate India Private Limited and academically as
Guest/Assistant Professor with University of Texas\, Austin and SS Colleg
