DESCRIPTION:IEEE UP Section CIS Chapter (CIS11) has successfully conducted 
 an IEEE CIS membership drive during the 2017 International Conference on 
 “Computational Intelligence: Theories\, Applications\, and Future Direct
 ions” at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur\, Kanpur\, Uttar Prad
 esh\, India from December 6th-8th\, 2017.\n\nThe program started with a we
 lcome address by Prof. Nishchal K. Verma\, Dept. of Electrical Engineering
 \, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur\, India. He gave an introduction 
 about the IEEE and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS). He e
 ncouraged and motivated participants for becoming a member of the IEEE CIS
  community by highlighting the membership benefits. An interactive session
  with executive committee members of the IEEE UP Section CIS Chapter was o
 rganized where participants asked their doubts and explored the possibilit
 ies of computational intelligence (CI) in their own work.\n\nFor membershi
 p drive\, a booth was also set up at the venue to promote IEEE CIS members
