Their raw sewage pump station pumps 13.09 kV switchgear needed replaceme nt without interruption of service to their critical pumps in a space that did not have NEC clearance for conventional MV switchgear. The initial pr oposed solution was to install new outdoor switchgear. Brown and Caldwell developed a means and method to replace the switchgear in place\, which wa s a much preferred solution.
