DESCRIPTION:Blockchain Meet Deep Learning given by Professor Yifei Wei from
Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications\, Beijing\, China\n\nT
his technical webinar is co-hosted by IEEE VTS NZNC and NSW\n\nAbstract:\n
\nWith the transformation of Internet from information network to value ne
twork\, blockchain technology is considered as an effective solution to re
place the traditional central trusted-authority in the future due to its c
 haracteristics such as decentralization\, transparency\, traceability\, se
curity\, anonymity. The successful application of blockchain in digital cu
 rrency\, finance\, logistics\, supply chain\, etc. has attracted tremendou
s interests from both research communities and industry. Blockchain will b
e more powerful when converged with technologies such as artificial intell
igence\, big data\, and the Internet of things. The proof-of-work consensu
s mechanism of blockchain sets an extremely high demand for computational
capability\, but the computation itself is meaningless and waste of energy
. At the same time\, more and more deep learning tasks urgently need compu
tation resource. Therefore\, we investigated the combination of blockchain
technology and deep learning. This talk will present the basic principle\
 , development route\, successful applications of blockchain technology\, a
nd introduce design proposal for the combination of blockchain and deep le
arning\, followed by the deep learning task allocation scheme based on blo
 ckchain.\n\nSpeaker(s): Prof. Yifei Wei\, \n\nOnline Webinar\, please refe
r to the flyer for more information\, Sydney\, New South Wales\, Australia
