DESCRIPTION:Student Quiz Competition on Outcome Based Education (OBE) start
ing from 11:00 AM by Babu Banarasi Das National Institute Of Technology an
d Management IEEE STB 10214 will take place on 31st of May\, 2020 through
the platform of Google Form.\n\nOutcome based education (OBE) is a student
-centered instruction model that focuses on measuring student performances
through outcomes. Outcomes include knowledge\, skills and attitudes .Its
focus remains on evaluation of outcomes of the program by stating the know
ledge\, skills and behaviour a graduate is expected to attain upon complet
ion of the program and after 4-5 years of graduation. In the OBE model\, t
he required knowledge and skills sets for a particular engineering degree
is predetermined and the students are evaluated for all the required param
eters during the course of program.OBE can primarily be distinguished from
traditional education method by the way it incorporates three elements: t
heory of education\, a systematic structure for education and a specific a
pproach to instructional practice.\n\nCo-sponsored by: Rafik Ahmad \n\nAge
nda: \nOBE promotes the acquisition of the specific skills and competencie
s in a country in which there are many skills shortages is the utmost adva
ntage of OBE.Learners know exactly what is expected from them as unit stan
dards make it very clear what is required from them. There is greater buy-
in and support for OBE from all role-players due to the extensive level o
f consultation and stakeholder involvement. Well defined assessment criter
ia makes it clear both assessors and learners how assessment will take pla
 ce.\n\nLucknow\, Uttar Pradesh\, India\, 226021
