DESCRIPTION:Data Fusion & Resource Management (DF&RM) Dual Node Network (DN
N)\n\nTechnical Architecture\n\nChristopher Bowman\, PhD.\n\nData Fusion &
Neural Networks (DF&NN)\n\nDr. Christopher Bowman is the 2018 Joseph Mign
ogna Data Fusion Award winner of the International Society of Information
Fusion and creator of the Bowman Model developed in 1985 for the US Joint
Directors of Laboratories (JDL) Data Fusion group. Data Fusion is defined
as the process of integrating multiple data sources to produce more consis
tent\, accurate\, and useful information than provided by any one source.
Sensor Fusion is a sub-set of Data Fusion. One example of an application t
hat might use Sensor Fusion would be using multiple sensors to track Unman
ned Aerial Vehicles. Dr. Bowman will give us a tutorial on the Data Fusion
architecture.\n\nThe DNN Technical Architecture provides a standard funct
ional decomposition of DF&RM software development point designs\, interfac
e descriptions\, and engineering methodology to enable software tool reuse
and reduce need for one-of-a-kind DF&RM systems. The goals of the present
ation include:\n\n- Provide an understanding of the roles for DF&RM\n- Des
cribe how the Data Fusion heritage can be used to “jump-start” dual Re
source Management solutions\n- Describe DF&RM Dual Node Network (DNN) Tech
nical Architecture\n- Provide Problem-to-Solution Mappings for Data Associ
