DESCRIPTION:Please carefully read the "fine print" at the bottom of this pa
ge\, prior to registering.\n----------------------------------------------
-----------------\n\nLearning Objectives:\n\n- Medium voltage cable handli
ng\n- Cable pull calculations & pull plans\n- Cable routing best practises
\n- Large cable installations\n- Site acceptance and maintenance testing\n
\nOverview:\n\nThis webinar will cover the site considerations related to
medium voltage and large cables. These cables require additional planning
to ensure long lasting and cost-effective installations. At the design pha
se and specification stage there are several best practices that can be co
nsidered that help ensure these critical cables are installed such that th
e risk of improper handling is minimized. Often poorly handled or improper
ly pulled medium voltage cables can result in damage that will pass accept
ance testing but show up in failures 5 or 6 years later. With a good pull
and testing plan\, site issues can be better controlled for long lasting c
able installations.\n\nIntended Audience: Engineers\, Designers\, Manufact
urer’s\, Installers and Inspectors who are responsible for the design\,
selection and installation of medium voltage cables.\n--------------------
-------------------------------------------\n\n"Fine Print"\n\n- The webin
ar is free for active IEEE members.\n- There is a $5 registration fee for
people who are not active IEEE members.\n\n- The fee must be paid in advan
ce through the registration process below (credit card through PayPal) in
order to receive the link to the webinar.\n- Upon successful payment of th
e fee\, you will receive 2 emails: one from noreply_vtools@ieee.org with t
itle "IEEE vTools Reservation Confirmation\," and a second from service@in
tl.paypal.com with title "Your payment to The Institute of Electrical and
Electronics Engineers\, Inc." Both emails are required to ensure your paym
ent was successfully processed.\n- Incomplete non-member registrations (pa
yment not received) will be deleted.\n- A link to the WebEx registration w
ill be sent to the email address you provided during this vTools registrat
ion\, on Nov 30\, by "IEEE Southern Alberta". Please double check the spel
ling of your email address when registering.\n- The mechanism used to emai
l the WebEx link requires you to accept the IEEE Privacy Policy and consen
t to receiving emails from IEEE. If you have not opted-in to receive email
communications from IEEE\, or have opted-out of email communications from
IEEE in the past\, you might not receive the email containing the WebEx l

bers who opted-out of email communications in the past can contact the [IE
EE Support Center](https://supportcenter.ieee.org/) to find out how to adj
ust their email communication preferences.\n- You will need to complete th
