DESCRIPTION:Please carefully read the "fine print" at the bottom of this pa
ge\, prior to registering.\n----------------------------------------------
-----------------\n\nLearning Objectives:\n\n- Medium Voltage cable CSA St
andards\n- Understanding MV cable components and their purposes\n- MV Cabl
e options\n- Testing\n\nOverview:\n\nThis webinar will cover the basics of
medium voltage cables. The CSA standards they are built to will be explai
ned with how they result in cables suited to specific applications. Clarit
y will be given to which product types are typically commercially availabl
e\, product types that can be made to order\, and which product features c
an be specified. Each of the construction layers within a medium voltage c
able will be shown and their functions defined. The goal is to understand
how each construction layer provides benefits for different applications e
nabling designers to specify cables that best meets their projects’ uniq
ue requirements. Finally\, a brief overview of factory and field acceptanc
e tests will be covered.\n\nIntended Audience: Engineers\, Designers\, Man
ufacturer’s\, Installers and Inspectors who are responsible for the desi
gn\, selection and installation of medium voltage cables.\n---------------
------------------------------------------------\n\n"Fine Print"\n\n- The
webinar is free for active IEEE members.\n- There is a $5 registration fee
for people who are not active IEEE members.\n\n- The fee must be paid in
advance through the registration process below (credit card through PayPal
) in order to receive the link to the webinar.\n- Upon successful payment
of the fee\, you will receive 2 emails: one from noreply_vtools@ieee.org w
ith title "IEEE vTools Reservation Confirmation\," and a second from servi
ce@intl.paypal.com with title "Your payment to The Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers\, Inc." Both emails are required to ensure your
payment was successfully processed.\n- Incomplete non-member registration
s (payment not received) will be deleted.\n- A link to the WebEx registrat
ion will be sent to the email address you provided during this vTools regi
stration\, on Nov 9\, by "IEEE Southern Alberta". Please double check the
spelling of your email address when registering.\n- The mechanism used to
email the WebEx link requires you to accept the IEEE Privacy Policy and co
nsent to receiving emails from IEEE. If you have not opted-in to receive e
mail communications from IEEE\, or have opted-out of email communications
from IEEE in the past\, you might not receive the email containing the Web
Ex link. IEEE members can go to https://www.ieee.org/ieee-privacyportal/a
pp/ibp and ensure that "Local IEEE Communications" is checked under the ca
tegory Communication Preferences > Member Benefits. Former members and non
members who opted-out of email communications in the past can contact the
[IEEE Support Center](https://supportcenter.ieee.org/) to find out how to
adjust their email communication preferences.\n- You will need to complet
