DESCRIPTION:ABSTRACT\n\nLayers of smartness—using technology and data—a
re being built into cities to make them safer\, more efficient and sustain
able. Developed cities around the world are actively launching smart solut
ions\, while new and emerging cities are integrating intelligent\, connect
ed systems from the start. The big cities of today may not be those of tom
orrow. The opportunities are immense—across infrastructure\, mobility\,
energy\, healthcare and beyond. Innovative technology applications and the
ir adoption in society offer a turning point. At its core\, the smart city
is about people and improving the quality of our everyday lives. The COVI
D-19 pandemic has revealed some of the shortcomings of major cities in tim
es of crisis.\n\nThe talk will cover the following areas:\n\nIntro: Curren
t state and challenges of Smart Cities\n\n- Disruptive technologies enable
building solid foundation for smart cities - highlights of current and fu
ture of IoT\, 5G/6G\, Analytics (AI/ML/DL) across key markets\n- Key examp
les – technology convergence & adoption in new use cases in key vertical
s such as smart homes\, public safety\, autonomous driving\, healthcare\,
smart energy and others.\n- Covid-19 accelerate return to new norm with gr
eater innovation\, and end-to-end services\n\nConclusion: Adoption of disr
uptive technologies and acceleration to a new norm that will help transiti
on to smart societies.\n\nKey Takeaways\n\n- Understanding the mission of
smart cities and current situation of 50 worldwide top smart cities and im
pact from Coronavirus Covid-19\n- Technology Features overview and roadmap
of 4G/5G/6G\, IoT and AI\n- Sample use cases and power of virtualization
and network slicing\n\nSpeaker(s): Fawzi Behmann\, \n\nAgenda: \n05:00pm -
