DESCRIPTION:The 5G mmWave Channel Model Alliance in collaboration with the
IEEE VT-S Propagation Committee\, the Canadian National Committee of the I
nternational Union of Radio Science\, and IEEE Vancouver Joint Aerospace a
nd Electromagnetics Chapter is organizing our fourth Fall Workshop on Mill
imeter-Wave Channels and Systems to be held in conjunction with the IEEE V
TC 2020-Fall conference.\n\nThis workshop will take place at 10:00 – 12:
30 ET / 7:00 – 8:30 PT on Wednesday\, 25 November 2020. It will focus on
the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and feature presentations on the
following topics:\n\n- Recent channel measurement and modeling activities
supporting 3GPP’s Indoor Industrial scenario that targets frequencies f
rom 0.5 - 100 GHz\n- Description of channel characteristics in need of imp
roved understanding (dense multipath components)\n- Short range and intra-
machine communications up to 300GHz\n\nThe meeting will be organized into
four 15-minute presentations\, each followed by a 10-15-minute question an
d answer period. The speakers who will be presenting during this workshop
are:\n\n- Henrik Asplund (Ericsson): “Perspectives on the Indoor Factory
channel model in 3GPP”\n- Dr. Taro Eichler (Rohde & Schwarz): “Channe
l Measurements in Industrial Environments”\n- Mohamed Hany (NIST): “A
Machine Learning Approach for Exemplar Channel Extraction in High-Multipat
h Environments”\n- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Kürner (TU Braunschweig): “C
hannel Modeling for Ultra-high Data-Rate Point-to-Point Links at 300 GHz
