 cusing on careers after getting your Ph.D.\n\nThe career after finishing t
 he Ph.D. may take many forms including different roles in academia and ind
 ustry. The aim behind this event is to raise awareness for the prospective
  graduate students about the opportunities and constraints present in diff
 erent career paths\, knowing the steps needed to be taken and the tentativ
 e timelines to apply. Our panelists are alumni of the University of Housto
 n who have taken roles in both industry as well as academia. They will dis
 cuss some of the broader tendencies when it comes to the Ph.D. job market 
 and careers in the university sector while sharing their personal experien
