DESCRIPTION:About this Event\n\nScience on Tap is an informal science cafe
style discussion series offered by the SEE Science Center. The 2020-2021 v
irtual season is sponsored by Cambridge Trust.\n\nPreparing to move to spa
ce long term\n\nPlans are in the works to establish a base on the moon to
enable manned exploration further in our solar system. With the current re
cord length for time in space not long enough even to get to mars and back
\, there is a lot of work to be done. Join us to discuss the research and
planning going on to prepare for future exploration. This research include
s things you may not think about including fermentation\, hibernation and
psychology. Join us to explore the to do list for packing up and moving to
space.\n\nOur panelists will include:\n\nChris Carberry is the CEO and co
-founder of the non-profit organization Explore Mars\, Inc.\n\nDr. Jay C.
Buckey\, Jr.\, is a Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine
at Dartmouth and the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth\, former N
ASA Astronaut\n\nAgenda: \nA virtual discussion about the research to esta
