DESCRIPTION:With the progress of machine learning represented by deep learn
ing\, artificial intelligence (AI) that makes complicated recognition and
judgment based on huge data groups has entered the stage of practical use.
However\, as AI permeates and spreads in society\, there are considerable
concerns about its abuse\, misuse\, and misunderstanding. This is reflect
ed in the fact that many governments\, NPOs\, and supranational organizati
ons (European Community\, OECD\, etc.) have published ethical guidelines f
or the design\, manufacture\, and operation of AI since the 2010s.\nThis s
ymposium will give a bird's-eye view of issues related to AI and ethics fr
om the present to the near future\, and at the same time\, invite front-li
ne theorists to discuss specific issues in government regulation\, educati
on\, and social applications in a comprehensive and multifaceted manner.\n
