DESCRIPTION:This IEEE Houston Section in collaboration with NSBE Process Im
 provement is a series of webinars during Black History Month 2021. Each we
 binar during this series will take a deep dive into the historical underst
 anding on African-American and other ethnic STEM innovators. During each s
 eries\, we will discuss some key innovators’ contributions to STEM and t
 heir challenges to bring their work to life. Elementary students to profes
 sionals are encouraged and welcomed to attend these series. Professional D
 evelopment Hours (PDH) certificates will be given to those who attend any 
 webinar of this series for at least 45 minutes.\n\nSome may ask why on Wed
 nesday’s: Wednesday is Wodens-day the Anglo-Saxon equivalent of the Nors
 e Odin or the Roman Mercury a sky god and the god of wisdom\, poetry\, com
 merce\, travel\, thievery\, eloquence and science. He is also the messenge
 r of the other Gods. Woden represents Mercury\, meaning that Wednesday is 
 Mercury day.\n\nFor the volunteers of this project: Its a day of history\,
