DESCRIPTION:Join MITRE for a virtual tech talk starting at 6:30PM on Tuesda
y\, March 9th. MITRE engineers will deliver presentations on acoustic comm
unication systems for underwater data transfer and on a GPU platform for s
ignals analysis as part of our active research programs. Each of these pre
sentations will highlight the ways that software defined radios are paired
with general purpose and heterogeneous processing environments to rapidly
prototype tailored digital signals processing capabilities.\n\nThese pres
entations will be given by Dr. Tamara Sobers\, Wayne McLaggan\, and Jeremy
Martin.\n\nDr. Sobers holds an PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Uni
versity of Massachusetts Amherst and has worked at MITRE since her first i
nternship in 2007. She supports a variety of projects across the MITRE Nat
ional Security Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) an
d leads a group in the MITRE Communications\, Signals Intelligence\, and P
NT department.\n\nWayne McLaggan has a Master of Engineering in Electrical
engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology and has worked at
MITRE since 2013. Wayne leads the Signals Processing group for the Army In
telligence and Sensors department and helps to lead the Photon development
effort in support of our Department of Defense sponsors.\n\nJeremy Martin
has a Master of Science in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University
and has worked at MITRE since 2014. Jeremy is a project and technical lea
der at MITRE and defines the architecture and drives the agile workflow fo
r large projects in MITRE's Army Intelligence and Sensors department.\n\nC
