 ons advances have been rapid and continuous. In fact the pace is so fast t
 hat many inventions that were modern (it seems only yesterday) have now pa
 ssed into history and if we are diligent into heritage collections. The PM
 G\, Telecom Australia and Telstra maintained a historical collection of a 
 very wide range of telecommunication items\, artefacts\, technology dating
  from the 1850's. The very large collection survived the years with the as
 sistance of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer support. This is the stor
 y of how "Telstra's Heritage - Australia's Heritage" is being preserved to
  ensure the ongoing survival of the collection in a sustainable way.\n\nCo
