 m\n\nCourse Descriptions:\n\nGenerator 101: Basics and Application - 1 PDH
(60 minutes)\n\nIn this course we will discuss the why and how of generat
or sets. First\, we will look at the building blocks of Generators and Bac
kup power systems. Then we will consider the pros and cons of Diesel and G
as as fuel for the generators\, Lastly we will explore which codes and sta
ndards drive the need for generator sets.\n\nAutomatic Transfer Switch (AT
 S) 101: Basics - 1 PDH (60 minutes)\n\nAutomatic transfer switches allow t
he loads to be fed from either the Utility or backup power sources as its
most common use case. In this course we will dive into the basics of autom
atic transfer switches\, their purpose\, associated Codes and Standards\,
types of ATS\, and typical installations. This course also touches on ATS
 controllers\, withstand ratings\, and power switching methods.\n\nAutomati
c Transfer Switch (ATS) 102: Withstand Ratings and Selective Coordination
Implications - 1 PDH (60 minutes)\n\nAutomatic transfer switches are often
required to withstand a fault and connect the load to an emergency genera
tor source afterwards. Due to selective coordination\, some switches may b
e subject to a fault current for an extended period. In this course we wil
l dive into the basics of both and explore how we can optimize the design
 for safety\, economy\, and performance.\n\nParalleling 102: Paralleling Co
 ntrols\, Sequence of Operation and Configurations - 1 PDH (60 minutes)\n\n
In the second part of our basic paralleling course\, we will explore how t
he building blocks of a paralleled system can be managed in either a gener
ator mounted controller or within a master control section. We will explor
e different paralleling controller configurations\, system design\, sequen
ce of operations. We will also touch on load management using either feede
r breakers or automatic transfer switches.\n\nGenerator Enclosure Basics\,
  Considerations\, and Options - 1 PDH (60 minutes)\n\nEnclosures can be a
critical component of your backup power system. In this presentation\, we
explore the basic properties\, types\, and optional components of a genera
tor enclosure. We will also look at the codes and standards that guide bot
h the design and installation of enclosures.\n\nGenerator Diesel Tank Basi
 cs\, Considerations\, and Options - 1 PDH (60 minutes)\n\nDiesel fuel tank
s serve as the source of stored energy on many generator sets. In this pre
sentation\, we explore the basic properties\, types\, and optional compone
nts of a diesel tank. We will also look at the codes and standards that gu
ide both the design and installation of diesel fuel tanks.\n\nThank you!\n
