DESCRIPTION:In this presentation\, emerging technologies that are driving t
 he 4th Industrial Revolution and Industry 4.0 are described\, and the infl
 uence of these technologies on newly emerging autonomous systems and smart
  networks will be introduced. Some examples on currently ongoing research 
 and development for future consumer products and services will be presente
 d as examples.\n\nBackground\n\nThe Sydney Technical Series is a NSW joint
  Chapter (CT/BT/PSES) activity\, the aims to present high quality presenta
 tions by globally renown speakers. As travel is not possible due to COVID\
 , the series of talks will be held online. The NSW Chapter is working with
  all Region 10 chapters and is providing access of the live and recorded p
 resentation to all R10 members.\n\nIn total ten presentations are planned 
 in this series for 2021. The first presentation is by Professor Chung\, fr
 om Yonsei University\, South Korea. Professor Chung has an active research
  program where he contributes regularly to Samsung and LG amongst other co
 mpanies. His presentation on “Emerging Technologies in Autonomous System
 s &amp; Smart Networks” will be highly interesting and informative.\n\nSpeak
