 f Moratuwa is the first-ever IEEE ProComm Society Student Branch Chapter e
 stablished in a Sri Lankan university and this was the first Annual Genera
 l Meeting of the Student Branch Chapter. It was held virtually via Zoom on
  the 21st of March 2021 from 5.30 pm onwards with the participation of nea
 rly 80 participants. The event started with an introduction to IEEE ProCom
 m Society and the Student Branch Chapter. The current President of the IEE
 E Professional Communication Society Dr. Darina M. Slattery graced the occ
 asion with her presence and spoke about the IEEE ProComm Society\, what it
  does\, what we can do for it\, and how we can get involved in its activit
 ies. Furthermore\, she appreciated the efforts of the IEEE Student Branch 
 of the University of Moratuwa in establishing the first-ever IEEE ProComm 
 Student Branch Chapter. After that\, the Chief Advisor of the IEEE Student
  Chapter of the University of Moratuwa\, Prof. Sisil Kumarawadu addressed 
 the gathering highlighting the importance of professional communication in
  engineering. The next event was the election of office bearers. During th

 \nAfter the appointment of the office bearers\, Dr. Ranga Rodrigo\, the st
 aff advisor\, and senior treasurer of the IEEE ProComm Student Branch Chap
 ter shared an interesting presentation on how to present effectively using
  gradient descent. Then the newly appointed chairman of the ProComm Studen
 t Branch Chapter\, Amaya Dharmasiri did her speech explaining the board’
 s plans for the upcoming year. The meeting was concluded after the secreta
