 PES DAY 2021. Here is an opportunity to expand your knowledge on IoT and B
 lockchain Technologies and also to provide you insight about how to implem
 ent them for future smart power system.\n\nIEEE PES day has been celebrate
 d across the globe for the past three years. The IEEE PES DAY Team encoura
 ges the IEEE members to help bring “More Power to the Future with Clean 
 Energy Revolution”. As part of the PES DAY celebration a collaborative w
 ebinar was conducted by JIT IEEE SB and IEEE BUBT SB in the Topic “Appli
 cations of IoT and Blockchain Technology for Future Smart Power System” 
 on 24.04.2021.\n\nThe session started with the Welcome Address by Ms.Shofi
 ya Fahima K from JIT IEEE SB. The Opening Remarks was given by Dr.S.Elango
 van\, He briefed about the IEEE PES Day and shared some insights about the
  IEEE Madras section and the IEEE Bangladesh section and addressed the gat
 hering. Mr.Tarikul Islam Remon from IEEE BUBT SB presented the Speaker Int
 roduction. The speaker for the event Dr.Somasundaram Balasubramaniam start
 ed the session with a poll to make the session more interactive and then h
 e explained about smart power system. And he also asked few questions on s
 mart Power systems. He then elucidated the concepts of smart power\, deman
 d smoothening and the use of IoT by sharing his own experience during his 
 tenure in his career. He explained the concept of block chain and its appl
 ication in the smart power system. Dr.Somasundaram addressed about Busines
 s Requirements of smart power system in the field. He also gave an insight
  on the Maximum Demand and Design Capacity. Dr.Somasundram cleared all the
  doubts raised by the participants during the Q and A session. The session
  ended with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms.Shruthi.P.G of JIT IEEE SB. 
 The\n\nparticipants found the session really informative and interactive. 
 A total of 110 participants of various disciplines from various countries
