DESCRIPTION:Abstract:\n\nThe purpose of this seminar is to present an overv
iew of recent contributions in the research field of RF filtering devices
with highly-reconfigurable and multi-band transfer function that will be d
emanded by next-generation wireless transceivers This includes both multi-
passband and multi-bandstop components for multi-channel-selection and mul
 ti-interference-mitigation applications\, respectively. Furthermore\, thei
r operational and design foundations\, as well as a rich variety of experi
ment demonstrators in different bands and high-frequency technologies (e.g
 .\, planar\, 3-D\, lumped-element\, acoustic-wave\, and integrated ones)\,
will be shown.\n\nShort Bio:\n\nRoberto Gómez-García is an Associate Pr
ofessor with the Department of Signal Theory and Communications\, Universi
ty of Alcalá\, Alcalá de Henares\, Spain. His current research interests
include the design of fixed/tunable high-frequency filters and multiplexe
rs in planar\, hybrid\, and monolithic microwave-integrated circuit techno
 logies\, multifunction circuits and systems\, and software-defined radio a
nd radar architectures for telecommunications\, remote sensing\, and biome
dical applications. In these topics\, he has authored/co-authored about 12
0 papers in international journals and 150 papers in international confere
nces. He was a recipient of the 2016 IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques
Society (MTT-S) Outstanding Young Engineer Award. He is an IEEE CAS-S Dist
inguished Lecturer (2020-2022). Besides\, he has served and currently serv
e as Editor for several IEEE journals.\n\nVirtual: https://events.vtools.i
