DESCRIPTION:We are seeing unprecedented environmental disruption as we grap
ple with anthropogenic impacts – climate change\, plastic pollution impa
cts\, health impacts from chemical exposures\, and even fracking-induced e
arthquakes. Although businesses and regulators are trying to respond\, the
y do not appear to be changing with the same rapidity as environmental cha
nges. How can market and regulatory drivers complement each other to yield
solutions commensurate with our environmental challenges? What are the op
portunities to more fully leverage the available drivers and what are the
limitations? Movement toward a carbon-neutral\, circular economy can only
be accomplished when private sector and governmental actions build on one
other. This talk will discuss obstacles and opportunities to address human
impacts on the environment.\n\nSpeaker(s): Dr. Meredith Williams\, \n\nVi
