The webinar was conducted by Dr. Janaka Wijayakulasooriya f rom the Faculty of Engineering\, University of Peradeniya\, who has practi ced and published so many journals and conference papers covering various fields such as Signal Processing\, Intelligent Systems and Instrumentation s and he is also the Director of Information Technology Center\, Universit y of Peradeniya.\n\nThe webinar was opened for all the undergraduates inte rested in Robotics and who plan to succeed in the Robotics Industry in the future.\n\nAt the commencement of the event\, an introduction of the keyn ote speaker was delivered. Afterwards\, Dr. Janaka Wijayakulasooriya start ed the session by presenting the simplest definition of sensor fusion “A cting Together to Achieve Further”. After that\, he started his presenta tion which includes four main parts\; What is sensor fusion\, where can we use it\, levels of sensor fusion and how can we do it. Finally\, he highl ighted the advantages and opportunities of being passionate about the mode rn world of robotics and automation. He especially appreciated the fact of being yourself rather than doing things just to complete the tasks.\n\nAt the end of the main session\, the participants were able to lighten their minds moreover in the Q/A session\, where they were able to get answers t o a lot of questions that they have sent us during the session. Also\, the y were able to clarify their doubts regarding sensor fusion and especially regarding the robotics industry and how to get ready to be a part of the near future as robotics enthusiasts. All the questions were appreciated by Dr. Wijayakulasooriya\, as questioning is the best way to learn new thing s. Also\, when the token of appreciation was given to the keynote speaker\ , he again reminded us of being ourselves and try to think in an innovativ e manner.\n\nBefore winding up the session\, Mr. Udula Ranasighe\, the sec retary of the Robotics and Automation society gave an introduction about t he competition which will be held as the final task for the participants.
