DESCRIPTION:................... The birth of wireless communication brought
forth an entirely new possibility - instantaneous communication. The Anti
que Wireless Association’s National Museum is a 10\,000 square foot reso
urce for discovery\, education\, and sharing the history of wireless commu
nication via a vast collection of radio technology from the earliest wirel
ess experiments through the early days of ham radio\; and through broadcas
t radio and TV to the present day cell phones.\n\nOn Saturday\, December 4
\, museum experts will facilitate an in-depth guided tour. Through this to
 ur\, we will retrace a path of people\, places\, and technologies\, part o

the museum in 2018\, it has undergone significant renovations and addition

hey prefer to do so.)\n\nOur meeting will take place one week before the 1
00th anniversary of a historic transatlantic test that established that pa
th for wireless engineering for the next century. The IEEE Rochester Secti
on in partnership with the Antique Wireless Museum is offering a rare oppo
rtunity to see and hear the amazing stories and appreciate just how we got
to be holding our smartphones\, and of course\, a close-up look at the pe
