DESCRIPTION:InfraRed Thermography (IRT) is one of the promising imaging mod
alities for non-destructive testing/non-invasive evaluation of a wide vari
ety of industrial as well as bio-materials. IRT gained wide acceptance due
to its inherent merits such as safe\, remote\, fast and easy to deploy in
the field for testing and evaluation of various materials. Among the wide
ly used IRT approaches\, recently introduced pulse compression favorable e
xcitation schemes have become popular due to their higher test sensitivity
and resolution even with the usage of low peak power probing energy into
the test material. This talk highlights various signal and image processin
g approaches especially for high resolution coded excitation schemes. Furt
her the merits and limitations of these approaches will be discussed for s
ubsurface feature visualization in various industrial and bio-materials.\n
