DESCRIPTION:Best PhD thesis awards\n\nIEEE Sensors Council NSW Chapter will
  provide awards (certificate and cash prize) for the best three PhD theses
  (graduated) in 2021 from NSW universities (UNSW\, USyd\, UTS\, MQ\, UOW\,
  Newcastle\, WSU\, CSU) in the areas of sensors and sensing technology. Th
 e selection criteria for the best thesis award are given below:\n\n- Title
  and abstract of the research thesis.\n- Certificate of completion in 2021
 \n- Technical soundness and scientific rigour.\n- Papers published in jour
 nals and conferences during the PhD study\, IF of the journals\, their cit
 ation details (if any).\n- Quality of innovation/novelty in the domain of 
 sensors and sensing technology.\n- Significance of the research contributi
 ons in the domain of sensors and sensing technology.\n- Applicability of t
 he research contributions in the Industry.\n\nHDR students are required to
  submit a two-page summary of the thesis focusing on the above criteria an
 d send it to the selection committee c/o Chapter Chair Prof. Subhas Mukhop
 adhyay (Subhas.Mukhopadhyay@mq.edu.au) by 30th November 2021.\n\nThere wil
 l be a luncheon Award ceremony during the middle of December 2021 to hand
