DESCRIPTION:In the era of global uncertainty\, people have to solve both co
 mplex local and international issues. Therefore\, globally-minded young ta
 lents with STEM research and development skills are in huge demand today. 
 There are needs of helping students to develop these skills and attitudes 
 in an integrative and experiential manner. However\, standardized K12 (sec
 ondary school) curriculum is difficult for students to self-initiate a STE
 M research project as these are often not available at local schools.\n\nT
 he Hong Kong Section (HK) with local chapters are excited to offer a Pre-U
 niversity STEM Student conference to students. Students conduct scientific
  research related to Sustainable Development Goals\, with the support by m
 entors in the Section. Through the research activity\, individuals are emp
 owered in problem solving\, cognitive training and multicultural learning.
  Educational outcomes are specified for raising awareness of STEM and advo
