DESCRIPTION:Our Virtual Seminars will reach Students\, Teachers\, and Volun
teers to introduce the Humanitarian Activities Committee Special Interest
Group for Humanitarian Technologies (SIGHT) Group project: 'Health & Medic
al Device Literacy.'\n\nThe Virtual Seminar Series presented by Profession
al Engineers will cover topics significant to Health & Medical Device Lite
racy\, to achieve Transparent Design for Well-being\, which is an IEEE Dig
nity Inclusion Identity Trust and Agency (DIITA) Global Workflow. In parti
cular\, how does IEEE Advance Technology for Humanity by viewing the issue
s through a Humanitarian lens which can improve opportunities for Transpar
ent Design for Well-being. Solutions are multidimensional engaging many in
terests and involve not only Engineering\, but also Medicine\, Social Dete
rminants of Health\, as well as Cultural and Linguistic influences.\n\nEng
ineers will describe how everyday Medical Devices are designed and used\,
how they relate to managing health for an individual or as a caregiver for
a loved one\, the role of culture and language in health and well-being\,
how to beome involved and how to learn more.\n\n*************************
********************\n\nHumanitarian Discussions will include: United Nati
ons Sustainable Development Goals\, approaching Diversity & Inclusion\, th
e significance of Health & Medical Device Knowledge\, Culturally & Linguis
tically Appropriate Systems\, and more. Students\, Teachers\, Volunteers w
ill share their knowledge and experiences\, participate in a survey\, obse
