DESCRIPTION:Spintronics is an emerging technology that has applications in
many areas where silicon/semiconductor microelectronics and integrated cir
cuits are used today. The applications range from non-volatile memories to
very high frequency or near-THz tunable oscillators for future communicat
ion systems (6G). Spintronics is also a possible candidate for new computi
ng paradigms\, in particular hardware for artificial intelligence. In my p
resentation\, a possible roadmap from basic physics research to industrial
demonstrators will be discussed. I will also give a survey of prototype s
pintronic technology from different vendors and focus on the benefits of c
ircuit and system solutions where silicon microelectronics and spintronics
  are co-integrated.\n\nSpeaker(s): Professor B. Gunnar Malm\, \n\nVirtual:
