 da: \nWelcome and Announcements: Chairman welcomed all the members present
  in the meeting.\n\nAgenda Item #1: Ratification of minutes of the previou
 s meeting.\n\nDiscussion: The minutes of the previous meeting were read by
  the Chairman and with the consent of members present in the meeting\, the
  minutes were approved.\n\nAgenda Item #2: Proposal to organize workshops/
 conferences/challenges\n\nDiscussion: As per the Action Item of Agenda Ite
 m #3 in the minutes of the meeting held on Dec 8th\, 2021\, Chairman infor
 med the members present that a proposal via email has been received by Dr.
  Aparna Dixit for organizing the workshops/conferences/challenges for facu
 lty and students. The proposal mentioned in the email is as follows:\n\n
 “Being a member of CIS Chapter UP Section\, IEEE\, I am very happy to se
 e that we are organizing a lecture series this week. I feel honored to put
  forward my suggestion on organizing student and faculty workshops in the 
 coming future. I would like to share my suggestion to conduct some valued 
 workshops which are very important for the career of students especially.\
 n\nThe objective of these workshops is to nurture engineers in such a way 
 so that they could connect themselves with Computational Intelligence.”\
 n\nAction Item: Chairman suggested the proposal received by Dr. Aparna Dix
 it could be taken forward further after the completion of the ongoing IEEE
  CIS Expert Lecture Series on Computational Intelligence.\n\nAgenda Item #
 3: Proposal to organize IEEE CIS Expert Lecture Series\n\nDiscussion: As p
 er the discussion held in Agenda item #2 of the minutes of the meeting hel
 d on Dec 8th\, 2021\, Chairman introduced that the first talk on Dec 13th\
 , 2021 during IEEE CIS Expert Lectures Series on Computational Intelligenc
 e will be delivered by Prof. Brajesh Varshney\, Director\, KIT Kanpur\, In
 dia. The title of the talk was “Understanding of Genetic Algorithm throu
 gh Application”. Further\, Prof. Nishchal K. Verma chaired the session o
 f the talk by Prof. Brajesh Varshney and introduced the speaker to the mem
 bers and attendees of the talk. At the end of the talk\, Prof. Nishchal K.
  Verma concluded the session with a vote of thanks.\n\nAction Item: The de
 tails of the talk will be made available on the chapter’s webpage and e-
 certificates will be issued to the attendees.\n\nAgenda Item #4: IEEE CIS 
 Membership Promotional Drive\n\nDiscussion: Chairman put forth a suggestio
 n to the members present in the meeting regarding the promotional drive ev
 ent for IEEE CIS. Dr. Teena Sharma added that she would share a presentati
 on with Chairman for the promotional drive event to be held.\n\nAction Ite
 m: With the consent of the members present in the meeting\, Chairman sugge
 sted conducting an IEEE CIS membership promotional drive after the complet
 ion of the ongoing IEEE CIS Expert Lecture Series on Computational Intelli
 gence.\n\nThe meeting was adjourned with a vote of thanks at 07:00 PM IST.
